Melvin is a very fine player. Did a gig on the same show as him a few years back, and his enthusiasm for the instrument was a joy to behold. A very friendly guy too. :D

Great to see pedal steel at Glastonbury . As Ken states Melvin is a fine player and one nice guy.
Had the pleasure of first seeing and hearing him as a real young guy on the Newbury Steel festival stage. Since that time he has turned into a monster player and played countless sessions over the years.

What a player! I love First Aid Kit, but Melvin certainly brought this set to a new level. Best way to spend your birthday!

Melvin is a great player on Steel and Guitar, and I had the pleasure of helping him get started on steel when he lived with his Mum in Market Deeping, he only had an Emmons Black Rock back then but his potential was obvious to see, wish he would come and teach me some stuff now

Yes! I've twice had the pleasure of seeing First Aid Kit with Melvin live, great songs, tons of steel guitar, lovely.
