My new pedal steel!

Being useless at using computers, I can't post a link here from the US Forum, where my new guitar, built by Bent Romnes, is shown, featuring Dale Rivard playing it.

Have a look - beautiful looking, sounds fantastic and great customer service from Bent.

I think this will be the second Ben-Rom in the UK - Dave Seddon has (or had?) the other.

Hope to take delivery in a week or so, in time for the next meeting of the North East Steelers on 16 October!!!

Beautiful guitar Nick. Bent Romnes is a great builder whose guitars are superb both mechanically and cosmetically. It will play as smooth as butter.

That was a very impressive test drive, Nick. It looks peachy and sounds sweet. You must be on tender hooks with the anticipation.

Thanks guys. I hope to receive my new guitar in a week or so, depending on flights and local arrangements for getting it to my nearest sorting office...

So, Danny, how's the Sigler pedal going? Ay tips???

Actually Nick, it's completely boggled me

I'm not that smooth at moving to B and C anyway, and as the Sigler is farther along in that direction I can't incorporate using it with the other pedals, as yet. It's either on or off.
I'm treating it as a 7 string lap steel  and am currently trying to work through Joe Wright's lap lessons.

To summarise.....sorry Nick, nothing to report, except, I'm sh#t :(

Danny, as far as I can make out at the minute, what you're doing is correct, keep the pedal down and use as a c6. I have no doubt you'll be doing an Emmons shortly.

Danny - I see we're in exalted company!

No doubt Donny will have it all sussed within a few days, so we'll be able to nag him constantly for tab, YouTube clips etc.

We'll be experts in no time!

Thanks Donny!!!
