Since this subject has come up in other threads recently...

Reading the article that Danny Mitchell put up recently reminded of Bruce Kaphans music.

I have his slider album and there's some nice stuff on it. It's quite ambient but he doesn't sacrifice the complexity on the steel, i.e. he doesn't just put in some nice sounding ambient steel sounds, he actually plays.
