We've all heard speed picking but this takes the biscuit.. is Crawford even faster than Jernigan?? sure looks that way!

Think it's time I chucked it!

Playback on other websites disabled ?? The mind boggles! Sorry!!

Jimmy Crawford was a real demon of a player. He used a lot of open strings and pull offs, and my old mate Buck Reid reckons he learned a lot from Jimmy. Buddy Emmons even said that no-one could play the pedal steel like Jimmy Crawford. Jimmy would play the steel like a banjo player at times, and some of his runs were just off the wall. Have a listen to the youtube clip called the Imaginative Mind of Jimmie Crawford.

Seems like Dave Hartley might have taken a leaf out of Jimmie's book. There's an awful lot of his Orange Blossom Special feel about that number.
