Thanks Dave. This is one of my mothers favourite songs, this is a shortened version of one I did for her last Mother's Day. I was attempting to combine the E9th & B6th turnings on the universal.

I used Mickey Adams E9 tab as a basis for the first verse and adapted a C6th tab to B6th for the 2nd verse. It was a good learning experience and I enjoy playing it.

BTW I am open to constructive criticism and advice, only way to learn

Your guitar is sounding great. Interesting strumming, arpeggio thing you've got going there. I haven't really seen that applied to steel, it works a treat.

I came across the thumb strumming technique last year when I was looking at c6th versions of this. I'm not really doing it correctly, I think you are meant to use a combination of a thumb strum and picks, I found this a bit hard to get to grips with and opted for just using the thumb for now. I'd like to persevere and do it right eventually.

Here's how it should be done, this guy also does a great version of Moonlight in Vermont.

This has been around for some time. Buzz Evans uses a combination of three finger picks and strumming.
Worth a look if it's any help, although you may have already seen it.
He's a great steel and guitar player.
