Three Men and a dog gig

It should be titled Two Men minus the Dog because the dog and it's owner got bounced before we started! The singer can be heard gamely trying to generate a good atmosphere and to his credit, both audience members seemed to enjoy themselves. This is after wrestling with a broken sound board for an hour. You struggle on. I thought some of you could relate to those gigs where the band heavily outnumbers the "crowd". If you hear a third person it might be the Maggie the landlady, who likes us. But not dogs.

Oh yes...
1981 (approx)..101 Club, Clapham. First ever Saturday afternoon gig the club decided to put on.
Broadcast - 7 piece band inc yours truly. Audience - Gordon, from work. A woman came in half-way through with 2 poodles - she didn't stay. Gordon did, bless him (but he never came to another Broadcast gig). We did have some successes - but not this one!

BTW - great article in the BSS magazine. Well written, informative and a great explanation as to why local groups are well worth pursuing.
Best of luck with the April meeting.

Thanks Nick, we're still missing you you know.

Why is there always a dog involved when the promotion has completely failed to work on the humans?
