Nice playing, Allan, and a good rocking sound to the whole song.

Very nice playing Allan, but dident care much for the mix The steel was too far back in it, vocal was nicely over the top but guitar and drums needed pulling back a bit and you needed to come up ...just MHO.

Thanks for kind words guys.

JD, to be honest I don't get a lot of say on mix, there's a song writer & a producer, but I was ok with the mix on this track.
There are a couple more tracks on-line pre-release here.
I think the steel is a little higher in the mix on them.

Hi Allan

Good playing, as always. Having heard Allan's band live, I can attest to the fact that bass and drums are LOUD! Put an electric guitar on top of that and the steel will sometimes struggle to get heard, particularly in a live situation - however, as Allan says, there's songwriter and producer in there giving a 'steer' to the overall sound. I think there's a greater tendency these days for steel to be lower in the mix - not always, of course. Compare, for example, Jamie Lennon's playing with Georgette Jones with that of Paul Franklin on 'Bakersfield' - two great steel players but a very different steel sound/mix. Allan does a great job in the context of the band and the music.
