Episode 6 of my weekly clips...

The great Jerry Douglas released an evenly great album last year (Traveller) which contains Chick Corea’s title “Spain”. Thought I’d give that a try also, on dobro (Am9 tuning) as well as C6 pedal steel. Of course no comparisation to the Master, as he is playing top class instruments, with good mics and equivalent effects, overdubbed (at least) three times,... he also uses a lot more open strings.

Cool! what is the Am9 tuning you're using?

Thanks Steve.
Henry: actually it is a C6 tuning starting at a low A, and then with the top C lowered to B (as I can do with my knee lever on the pedal steel).
So low to high: A - C - E - G - A - B.
So one could also call this a C6/maj7, but I think Am9 makes more sense.

Way to go, Jan - nice work. I never heard this piece before. Pretty nifty.
