Pretty close John. Why don't you post a pic of your Boss unit with your slider settings? I expect there would be some interest here.

Here you go Ken. The dobro one is on the left, I can get it much better sounding if I mess about after recording.

Thanks John.
I remember Eric Snowball showing a group of us how to get a resonator sound using alternate extremes of a 7 band graphic equaliser almost 40 years ago. Yours sounds very good, and there will be people who have the GE7 who will want to try this out for themselves. It is important to play the steel guitar in the same way that you would play a dobro.

Yes your right Ken no pedal movement and keep it simple, I use the other eq to shape the sound going into the dobro eq.

My version of the 'resonator sound' is played through an old Wah Wah pedal set at a certain point. I have done many sessions with this set up and it's pretty convincing! I also us an Ebonite bar which is
very light and seems to promote the sound even more. I too have used this method for around forty years! Believe me it's a lot cheaper than Matchbbros etc !
Gerry H. will back me up on the sound of this set up(I think?) as he remembers the sound quite well on gigs!
There you go-I'm giving away some of my secrets at last!
