Ooops did I nearly play some jazz?

Was asked a while bacvk if I would like to attempt to put some steel on some tracks for a solo project by Richard Townend, a real cool laid back guitarist. A fun session, put some steel on three tracks on his album 'We Are Where We Are'. Richard put together a vid, sadly I'm not in it, but the soundtrack is from the album. Nearest to jazz I think I'm ever likely to try. :)

Well fair play to you allan, you did play jazz, some nice understated playing there, now i dont normally listen to jazz, but i really enjoyed
listening to this [twice] and i will no doubt listen to it again, enjoyed the gruff vocals, kinda chris rea esq in a way, and song reminded me so much of the very first song i was taught on guitar back in the early 70s, by my teacher mike anson of the NDO [northern dance orchestra] SONNY, very similar chord progressions, A Minor, C7, Fmaj7, E7,
well done Allan, your playing has progressed a lot over the last few years, im impressed,

Nice stuff Alan, good to hear folks breaking away from the well trodden paths.
Simple chord progresions , sweet and effective, well played.
Nice on the ear. If its jazz??? lets have a bit more mate.
Alan, the singer and his guitar playing is very - Paul Carrick style
regards
Dave.
