DreamDay - An exploration using an Ebow on Pedal Steel
Posted: Thu Apr 30, 2026 10:42 am
This track came about when I was experimenting with using an Ebow on Pedal Steel Guitar. There are two Pedal Steel parts, one is the backing and the other using the Ebow.
I used a Arp 2600 synth VST to produce the bass.
The video was created using an online program written to simulate the visualisation section of the Winamp audio player, a legendary Windows app. The creators of the app used in the video, have taken the concepts used in the Winamp visualiser and taken them a step further. The visualisation responds to the audio track, giving the visualisation movement in sync with the audio. It is an open source project with 60 contributors.
As far as I can tell. It is not using AI. You can explore the visualisation program at the following link,

As it contains bright flashing lights in some sections, viewers are advised to use caution, in case it triggers an unwanted reaction.
