Jesse Conlon Band

Postby STEDDIE EDDIE » Sun Jul 31, 2011 7:56 pm

Draft of video recording recently in the Strand Bar, Strandhill, County Sligo, not over impressed where the camera zooms to the drummer during the Steel instrumental, have made my feelings known, before video is finalised, i reckon its a conspiracy by the other band members, just cos im the best looking,

Very nice. I love the way the steel comes into the song on the bridge. The tone is beautiful too. Good job.

Thanks to both of you for your responses, the song was of course studio recorded, was just made to look like a live recording, we done something like 25 to 30 takes of filming, each individual member of the band was filmed exclusive playing, or should i say miming, what we had recorded, it took the best part of 8 hours, i was so sick of the song by then, the more observant of you, might have noticed, the 'barman' was in fact, our keyboard player, [uncle fester] and the poker game in the background, was the rest of the band, i was extreme right, anyway, it was an enjoyable day, dvd will go out sometime soon on 'hot country' sky channel 201 i think, wish i had more input on the editing, as i played lead guitar on recording, and it never featured, along with the 'invisible' fiddle player, and steel instrumental panned straight to the drummer, which begged the question, 'why?' anyway, what do i know about filming?

Good work Eddie, nice playing from yourself and the band.
I can understand them not wanting to feature you facially, we have to think off the kids, old folks and cats and dogs. ;)

I have started watching the country shows on TV, Ill look out for yours, should you find out when its on beforehand, post the date up please.
regards
Dave.

Funny you should say that , Dave, cos i always kept a picture of you on my mantle piece, to keep the kids away from the fire, but in view of you saying that about my looks, i have decided to post a picture of myself, while i was taking a half time break
