Here's an exploration of chords and inner voicing I just did. Now I'm going to have a glass (or more) of wine!!

Some really beautiful changes going on there Gary. Listening to your musical direction, and that of Calum's, has made me think very strongly about veering away from the old fashioned country-ish stuff that I play. I wonder if it's possible after 60 years or so, or if it's like trying to teach an old dog new tricks as they say.

Better to be an old dog than an old sheep.

So this is where the ‘Alt Steel’ crowd hang out on the forum! Of course you can change direction Ken. Its all the same notes, but not necessarily in the same order as Eric might have said. A bit of retail therapy is a good start. I recommend a Strymon Nightsky for starters. You’ll knock up an album better than mine in no time!
Cheers
Calum

At around 2.42, do I detect a nod to Danny Boy, in a harmonised sort of way, Gary?
Interesting resolutions.

What do you mean at 2:42? The whole piece is actually my version of Danny Boy, just didn't mention it in case I was accused of selling out. Anyway, what's your obsession with Danny Boy? You thought it was a homage to you or somethin'?
PS: Impressed you got as far as 2:42! Maybe you skipped?

Not at all, Mr Peters, I'm a soup to nuts adherent.
Singing along proved a challenge.

If you could record a vocal track I'd happily add it. Heavy on the vibrato.

Nay, there's enough sadness in the world.
