Hi All This was the first recording I did on Reaper. Didn't realize the Big E had done a recording of it until recently.

Hi Donny Thank you I'm glad you liked it. It was my first time using a DAW at the beginning of the first lockdown. I had made a large Beech studio desk with lift up tops and keyboard drawers and space for my amps. Before I had chance to use it my wife commandeered it as she had to work from home and still does. I now use a Beech unit 10"x12"x30" and have my screen on the wall. I have recorded with my good friend Mike Mckever at his home studio in the past but he did all of the recording and mixing. I find it a very relaxing past time.

This really is a great collection of tunes, Dave, thanks for taking the trouble to post. Also, it's good to hear of another forum member using Reaper, The People's DAW!

Hi Danny thank you for your kind comments. I can't believe how many goodies are packed in to Reaper. I Got my mate mike to convert also to Focusrite Scarlett Interface. He had a Teac eight track in the 1980 that cost £5000 then twenty years ago Logic in a music PC £2000 now Reaper £60! Have you downloaded the REAPACK and SWS Extensions. Loads of menu bars ready loaded for different tasks. One day I will find the time to explorer them all. Dave

Oh yes, Dave, I'm fully loaded!
In my humble opinion, it really is the best out there. I'd been through Logic, Pro Tools, Digital Performer, Cubase and Nuendo, all problematic, in the studio where I worked, and a client suggested I look at Reaper, after experiencing yet another crash. I had heard of Reaper but thought it was just a piece of hobbyist, shareware. It must have taken me all of 30 mins playing around with it, before I was convinced.
Obviously, if you're after a load of bundled vst instruments, you could plump for the usual suspects, but having enough 3rd party plug ins I'll take Reaper's stability any day. Even the BBC choose to use it for outside broadcasting, Glastonbury etc.
In the studio I used 2 RME Firefaces and a Focus rite Octopre for 24 track recording, but now, at home, I'm happily using an RME Babyface. Both setups rock solid.
And, forgive me for correcting you, but it's 60 dollars and according to my phone's converter that's the princely sum of £43.51!!! Inconceivable.
