In this video today I'm unboxing my new pedal steel guitar but the big question is...or is it?

Sounds great acoustic! I'm looking forward to hearing your videos. Is it tuned like an E9 psg, but lowered a tone? And, is the copedent the same, Day/Emmons type setup?

Thanks Ken! Just wanted to bring something different to the table. Not a lot of pedal steel players have done vlogs and unboxing videos and its proven really popular with my young peers as they said they enjoyed it. They watch these kind of videos a lot. You definitely need to get those mods done, it will be sweet. I've got to be honest, this guitar is a lot louder than I expected acoustic. I'm going to need the Jerry Douglas box too to match up with the cone pick up as I've got to be honest, it's a bit quiet through the pickup. I think the box will fix this though and give it more of a true tone? However, I think I can get away with mic'ing this guitar which gives it a true tone anyway. People can easily hear me playing it in other rooms of the house. Non the less I'm really proud of it. I dreamed of a Franklin Pedabro at 16 but that's all it was, a dream. No way in hell I could afford would of them. It would have been a hideous financial decision. Now I've got something that does the job and does it very well.

Thanks! It's tuned to D9. The thicker strings give the cone more drive and a thicker tone. E9 on one of these can sound too pedal steely and I think is quieter. I'm running Emmons 3x4.
