Hello All

Richard Nelson (the master of the jazz standard) suggested I recorded (you guessed) a jazz standard, and he even suggested one: Blue Bossa. I'm not sure if any cruelty was intended, I'll assume not, but I've recorded a quick version anyway. If nothing else it proves my fake jazz guitar playing is marginally better than my very fake jazz PSG playing. I am a country boy at heart, so played it on my Telecaster just to keep the faith.

It's rough in places but try and enjoy.

Thanks Gary, you may have read the description, I put this together following the passing of my father in law last December. It was a very difficult time for myself and especially my wife Janice after years of his deterioration due to vascular dementia. Emotions were very raw when I wrote it.

That's precisely when music can have such a powerful role...when words and all else fails...there's still music. In that way at least musicians are lucky (for once!)
