Crazy (Willie Nelson)

Hi All

For all you lovers of great country classics, I have just recorded two versions of a great country classic: Willie Nelson's 'Crazy. It's not until you try and record yourself playing a tricky little song like this one solo that you realise just how ham-fisted, knobbly-kneed and flat-footed you are: needless to say, it was a painful and infuriating experience, but if you want to share the agony have a listen here.

That is brilliant Gary.
As a 'newbie' to PSG (I'm still waiting as my one is being made) I've only been learning on a Lap Steel for just over a year, so if I could sound anywhere near half as good as your
so called 'ham - fisted, flat - footed' playing I would be a very happy bunny!
Regards,
Baz.

I feel like a newbie every time I sit behind the PSG, I don't think that's ever going to change!! But, with the lockdown, I'm playing even more than usual and enjoying it, or enjoying hating myself for refusing to get things right.

Who's building your steel, and what are you getting?

Thanks for the support by the way.

Thanks John.

Yes, very Willie.

I'll keep it coming alright, but how much self-loathing can a steel player take? That's the trouble with being a very very imperfect perfectionist.
