John Hughey in a full on bluesy mode, wow! From a great Maggie Bell solo album, Queen of the Night. Killer album.

Wow! Do you reckon that's a lap then, Bob? I used to own this album back in the day. I'd just got the download version and realised it was a steel and not a 6 string slide, being ignorant of all things steel back then. It's credited as John Hughey-Pedal Steel.
What a notable year '74 was, there was our Lord Donald on the bill with Marty Robbins at The Apollo, and the steel was branching out from Country/Jazz, like on those tracks I've posted, meanwhile I was backing all manner of variety acts in Bunnie's Nightclub in Cleethorpes. I'd bet you were doing some business yourself, back then, too.

As an aside, won't be long before Conor takes delivery of his Mullen Discovery. He's got a plan to put together a Western Swing/Bakersfield band. The future looks bright!
