A member of the the American forum thinks the steelplayer is a Richard Comeaux.

It's been confirmed by the singer Jeff Dugan that the steel player is Bobby Terry who also wrote the song.

What a great song an sadly so true. It seems the majority of kids these days are brainwashed into boom, bang and fuzz guitar, "a melody, what's that then??"

D'you know, I don't think the future's that bad, I'm hearing some great young players on the forum, Mathew Jut, Steven Hicken Jnr, both steeped in classic country, and others who push the envelope a bit farther out. There's been some fantastic albums by young artists that heavily feature psg; Courtney Marie Andrews-Honest Life, Zephenia Ohora-This Highway. Even in the pop field there's the Swedish sister duo, First Aid Kit. In fact, I've got 10p each way on young Conor Smith, a Glasgow based steeler, who can't get enough of Lloyd Green, breaking big (When his Mullen arrives)
