Saw this today by British steelie Tim Sheinman.

Great presentation and good to get the word out there that our instrument isn't a synth or a piano.

My Show Pro was called a Chapman Stick before...

Tim lacks technique to a surprising degree, yet still gets gigs.

Perhaps if I unlearn my blocking and volume pedal techniques (and also take the sartorial piss out of Buddy Emmons) I will be more acceptable to the masses

I'd have more mass appeal if I put one of these over my head. That would get me more gigs.

With a mouth like that I'm not surprised that you don't. 8-)

Anyway, I suppose I deserve a bit of side-eye. I'm pretty rude about this board in the talk, as well as John.

I'm repeating the talk in Eastbourne on September 5th if anyone fancies coming down.

Anyway, my record's up on Spotify (Tim Sheinman - Hella Vapiano), and here's the opening track

All the best, Tim.
