Thanks for that Basil - as usual a couple of nice versions. I have done it again - I am going to have to listen to my version and learn it. I had been playing about with with it, then yesterday morning went into my my den and did the take ad lib so what you hear is what I played off the top of my head. But that's music.
Those chord sheets are interesting as they both differ from the one I took from the Jazz books you sent me but essentially very close. I shall be sussing out what Buddy did with those ad libs. Carol Kaye in an interview stated that jazz was played around the chords rather than scales so I will see when I have sussed it - if I sus it

As I said at the start it's a voyage of discovery for me and those pedals - but the slants are not forgotten.
