That is mighty fine! Does make me realise what a hindrance having a job is when it comes to learning an instrument though :-D. All that time at work could be better used practising...

Really!!! What did Jimmy Day say about this type of playing? " I wish I learn to play like that so I can remember never to do it again" very cleaver and flashy but imo not that pleasant to listen to and nobody would want it on there record.

I have to disagree with you Alan, I think for a Hell for Leather number like Alabama Jubilee that is exactly the treatment required (if only we were capable of giving it!) I am sure TT could go the other extreme in slow and tasteful.......

He didn't blink once during that
Obviously an alien.

My fave version of this tune is Buck Reid's.
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.

Gosh! I bet there was enough steam coming of of him after that to peel wallpaper!!!
Reminds me of Albert Lee, and his ‘waiting for a derailment’ super-fast technique.
Seen Albert many times, and he’s never come off yet!

Never heard of this guy before, is he always that good?
I might turn my picks into earrings...
Off for a calming cuppa...

My lovely (all be it a bit shoddy) Homemade E9 pedal, Sho Bud LDG, Knight (U.K.) Guitars: Sycamore 335, 12string semi and Walnut Tele thinline with B bender, Harmony lap steel and lots more...Lucky boy!

I have to say I often find the lighting-speed-picking of any stringed instrument a bit boring, but I found the steel playing on this tune to be a nice balance of showy technique and musically pleasing sounds. It's as if Brent Mason were playing the steel :-D
