Real country draws such raw emotion and this clip is just that at its best, thanks Ken and again I'm so sorry for high jacking your post!.... in truth it was spurred by Rhonda's dates.... they just all seemed to fit ... However after a call from JD today it is even more poignant than ever, John's lass Kate was also born 07.07.77 had similar health issues in her short life but alas she lost her fight last year! Oh so so sad! .......
For me, for now the jury is still out but who knows! All our thoughts are with John, as for me I thank you all for your replies to this post and deeply appreciate your comments which I know (from meeting each one of you) are from the heart! I'll keep you posted in due course!

My daughter and her two girls (who live a half mile from me) popped in to see me last night during their dog walk. I gave her an extra hug after reading your disclosure on your daughter. She texts me every day without fail, but has a very hectic life. None of us know what is around the corner, and we sometimes take things for granted. My daughter has been a single parent for the last 4 years, and has done a fantastic job raising her 2 young girls alone. I help to prop her up financially as most dads do, but I thank God every day for blessing me with such a lovely human being.
Your daughter is still in my prayers, and I truly hope that she will be around you for the rest of your days.

She's a real 'bonnie lass' Ken you must be very proud! And lovely grandchildren coming up, as has JD the constant reminder of his daughter.
Alas Rosalind miscarried a little fellow they named Nathaniel some months back (all now connected to this problem of course) they had a little burial for him in the local church yard, I may find that visit difficult when I go down. On the brighter side, she has a great spirit and attitude towards the surgery and is pinning much hope on a better quality of life post op. As we all are!!

It is wonderful and I look forward to (like Danny) playing it to death. I tried to download the tracks but Amazon played up so I bought the CD

Oh hey Bob, this thread brought a tear to my eye and I haven't even listened to the song yet. Like to add my best wishes for your daughters operation, hope it all goes well and she makes a full recovery.
