Kelsey's Song - My Version

This is a Buck Reid tune from his Work In Progress CD. I got the tab & backing track from Buck and have been working on it for a while. I originally intended in making a video for this & probably will at some point, unfortunately my health has not been great these past few months and I'm not getting a lot of seat time, so I decided to put up an audio version of where I am so far with it. There is definite room for improvement but I'm happy with the progress I've made, I'll keep plugging away at it when I can.

It's been a real learning experience & has given me something to really test out my new copedent.

Thanks Danny. Yeah, it's a complex tune, a lot of 2 & 3 part harmony scales going on there & wide grips. Really nice tune, have enjoyed the torture of learning it

Nice one Jif, to complicated for my wee brain, certainly pulls the string spacing on that tuning of yours. LDN.

Thanks Donny, aye it certainly does that. Some pretty difficult wide grips on it, the 12 string has a shorter string spacing than a 10 string so makes it a bit easier, getting from one to the next one fluently though took a lot of practice

I think you’ve just constructed a steel guitar orchestra with pedals and where did all those notes come from?
A great version of this song and although it’s a new song to me this is a very pleasant version to hear, so smooth and well played, you’ll need to write out the tablature for it ,so that we can figure out what notes you might have missed and also give Donnie a chance to learn how to play it now that he’s found his brain!
