Robby Turner

Any fans of Robby Turner on the board? He's probably best known for being Waylon Jennings' steel player in his later years, but there's some great playing of his on recent albums by the likes of Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson.

Here he is with Stapleton playing a beautiful solo on 'Whiskey & You' (sadly absent from the recorded version!)

Great player. Unfortunately Robby is not in good health at the moment. Some of his colleagues in Nashville are currently raising funds for him, to assist him with his medical bills. :(

I met him a few years ago in the Station Inn Nashville. Great guy and a great player. Any recent news on him?
