Forgot to say the original Hushabye mountain was sung by Dick with a music box the intro is meant to sound music boxy. the ending is meant to be the box winding down and running out of spring ( a bit like me)

Beautifully played tribute, Dave. I've always enjoyed Dick Van Dyke's acting and singing, and this is a tremendously put together medley that suits the steel so well.
Those bass notes! I see you're a man that can get pretty low!
Great post, thank you.

Hi Danny Happy new year. Thank you for your kind words. Dick Van Dyke has been around all of my life it will be a sad day when he passes on. The jungle book song makes me think of Phil Harris another of my favourite singers. And feed the birds a very foxy Mary Poppins. Sorry for lowering the tone. you did say I can get pretty low. Have been doodling with Stanger's in Paradise You can play the whole verse on one fret on my uni.

Hi John Happy new year. :D Just think I wouldn't have done any of this if I hadn't meet you all those years ago. You even came to Bedford to take me to see Gordon play at the Anglers Inn. Took me to Gordons house in Stevenage where he set up his steel in the kitchen and blew me away. Also to the pub in St Neots to see Barbary Coast. You gave me the bug. Thank you so much. Dave
