Long-Time (excerpt)

Hi All

One of the things I'm doing at the moment requires me to play very long pieces...too long for most people (especially steel players). So, as a compromise, here is an excerpt from a 14-min. piece I'm involved with (everything but the steel deleted, naturally). It's still longer than a pop record, but the last 20 secs are worth the wait, believe me! (Maybe).

14 mins, in one take, Gary!!! That's a marathon, actually two, with the two tracks. If you're getting paid by the note, then that's your heating bill sorted.
I'd like to hear it in context, though. With the whole shebang, to hear what you're reacting to.

Yes, you'll hear all one day. For the record, at this stage I'm reacting to a 14-minute granular synthesization of one of my steel samples (previously posted), sent all the way from Malta (of all places!!) Now I send these back and await the next batch of ever more complex sounds to deal with. Country it ain't, although I think you can hear plenty of country-cliches in my excerpt. You can take the boy out of the country...etc.
