Mini Blue

Postby Jif » Tue Nov 21, 2017 6:50 pm

This is so cute. We did this number at Gartcosh a few months ago, it was one I really enjoyed playing. The LeAnne Rimes version featured Milo Deering on pedal steel, I'm not sure if the backing track on this video features the original musicians, it sounds pretty close to me. Anyway, here is Blue sung by Kortney Jean.

What a great wee yodeller :guitar:
I've recorded a few kids like this and it always makes me think of all the chimneys that are going unswept

On another tack.......If you're heading over for the last meet of the year, Geoff, could I put a request in for God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen? :D
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.

Well the way things are going Danny tham chimneys are gonna get some sweeping pretty soon, or will it be cleaning solar cell panels

Yeah, I'm afraid I'm a sucker for talented kids, steady there boy, she reminds me of my two grand-daughters, they're identical twins now aged 9, they both play a pretty mean piano, one is also playing violin and they're both great wee chanters, as opposed to their grandpa who is more chancer than chanter

I haven't played God Rest Ye for some time, but if I get a chance I'll do a refresh. Been working on another xmas carol, which I should have together by next Tuesday. Someone has my Youtube version of God Rest Ye on a Xmas playlist, I think its called - A Pedal Steel Xmas, so come xmas period, it gets a lot of plays :guitar:

Looking forward to next Tuesday, here's a few one liners to get off on the right foot 8-)

Fell asleep on my smartphone the other day. I had downloaded a nap.

What network is Luke Skywalker on? Yodafone.

What’s the most popular network in Yorkshire? T’Mobile.

Why does Mr Potato Head have a mobile? In case Mr Onion Rings.

Put my phone into Airplane mode. What a rubbish transformer.

My mobile phone has a tuneless ring tone. It’s chordless.

A friend of mine has a mobile phone shaped like an Italian dumpling. It’s a gnocchia.

I can’t picture myself without a camera phone.

What do you call a man without his phone?

A Danny Ken

Ha ha! Great stuff, Geoff, you were obviously feeling my pain last month  You and Willie should have a Joke Off ;)

Glad to hear God Rest Ye is getting played, deservedly so :guitar: And I look forward to hearing this year's 'Leftfield' carol :P

That doesn't surprise me Ken, what amazed me was how good her sense of timing was and how she seamlessly changed key. A natural for sure, but has obviously been given good guidance from an early age.

Just did a search on Youtube - Kortney Jean and Stampede - looks like her mum was a performing singer, which explains a lot :)

You mean up against the master of one liners, can I just surrender now and save a lot of embarrassment :?

Not sure how leftfield this one will be Danny, decided to go a bit more conventional this year :D
