Like I said can Freddie Green say "The sound of Count Basie, or Bruce Welsh say "The Sound of the Shadows" and so on..and on the analogies are almost timeless like someone we know ? ..Even though Bruce co-wrote many hits for The Shadows and Cliff Richard, and appeared in films such as The Young Ones and Summer Holiday, Hank Marvin was the "Sound of the Shadows," Bruce was just the rhythm guitar player.
I can imagine the promoters trying to get dates for Bruce Welsh Sound of the Shadows..not to mention Hank's many fans response..

He may have been just the rhythm guitar player, but he was an extraordinarily precise player who contributed far more to The Shadows sound than Johnny Farina's mellow guitar playing with S&J, which was always much further back in the recorded mix than Bruce's ever was. Bruce was also a rather fine singer too. Bruce's playing on "The Savage" was an exercise in frenetic precision, while this track was greatly enhanced by Bruce's exquisite arpeggio chords.
