What an incredible player The uptempo, speedy picking one he plays, at 19 mins in, is blinding And he's obviously a racing man, I'm sure that that's tic tac he's using to communicate with the drummer

2 questions for anyone in the know......Is the first tune Roly Poly, and are those 2 fifteen inch Telonics cabs he's sitting in front of (killer tone btw )?

When I was at the Jeff Newman school at Hermitage, in the late eighties, we went to Nashville one evening and Doug Jernigan was playing. I sent a message asking him to play black mountain tag, and without any hesitation he went straight into it, playing faster than I can think.

He came over for a chat a bit later. He has huge hands, so I really do not understand how he achieves what he does.

Hi Danny, just back from the Colonies today and am totally knackered with a capital F, in answer to your question,
the first tune Doug is playing is an old Bob Wills song called "Home in San Antone", he truly is an incredible player and when you watch his right hand technique, he should never be able to play that fast, just goes to prove there is no right or wrong, if it works it works.
