1 thumbpick. I use my nails on the other fingers, I find it very handy to use the ringfinger too, but never got to a point where I was comfortable wearing fingerpicks on my fingers

Aha! Watching on my phone with eyes that grow steadily dim, I thought I saw picks bent closely to your fingers.
That's a nice clear tone you achieve using fingertips. Very interesting. Do you apply much high mid or treble to compensate for the sharper attack of the picks?

I use a quite unusual setup: only FX is a TC digital reverb. Then straight to a bass amp (Hevos 400T) into a 1x12 guitar cabinet housing a Jensen Blackbird speaker.
What you hear on my recordings is from the TC directly into the computer. No EQ applied. Just a bit of compression to control the dynamics.
But I do grow my nails, it's not bare flesh contact on the strings. I once spoke to Mickey Adams about my lack of using picks, he replied "if it feels and sounds right to you, then it is the best thing to do. Never mind what everybody else does"

Thanks for that info JanO. That is a very hybrid setup indeed, and it's obviously working well for you. I look forward to any further posts you submit.
