This video - featuring Mike Johnson on steel - was released on RFD TV yesterday. Fast forward through the cornball script, and the vocals of Rhonda Vincent & Daryle Singletary are outstanding. Mike is at his superb best playing back up steel. They are previewing their new CD. Hope to meet up with Mike and Joanie when I visit Nashville in September.

Outstanding is an understatement Kenneth!! Absolutely Awesome!
I've watched her drummer so many times and thought that guy is so sharp! why!.... Now I know!
This is one fantastic clip! .... Country as we love it.. Just the best!
Today 07.07/17 is my daughter's fortieth birthday! She was born 07.07.77........ Sadly on 08.08.17 she faces a seven hour brain op at the Royal London! Complicated to say the least but will be done by the best in the country!...... Keep her in mind if you will. She's my baby, bless her and she cut her teeth on country music, singing along with the Judds in her child's seat in the back of the car!!!
Sorry Ken I trust I have tainted your post here, hopefully I've given it even more meaning!
Fabulous clip .. thank you! B

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. The harmonies are Awesome. The steel is Awesome. The whole thing is Awesome. I hope you realise this is only my opinion, other opinions are available.
Bob, Your daughter faces a crucial operation, you know I'm not religious but I promise you, I will pray for her.

Thanks Bob and Donny. Sometimes a performance is just 'right up our street' as they say, and as soon as I watched this I knew I had to share it for like minded folks. I have seen The nucleus of this band perform live a number of times in Tennessee, and they are always just stunning. If there is a better 'real' country singer around these days than Daryle Singletary then I have yet to hear him. Rhonda is, well just Rhonda......superb. Mike J just knocks me out every time I see and hear him play live, and I just aspire to get a great tone like his. But I never will.
By the way, when I met up with Mike in London a few months ago he told me that he is coming up for 60!! Unbelieveable.
Bob
Re Your daughter. I am so sorry to hear of her severe health problem. My prayers are with her. I to have a precious daughter aged 37, and she is my world. I would be beside myself with apprehension and worry in your situation. Modern medical procedures are so successful these days that we tend to take them for granted. My thoughts are with you my friend.

Fantastic

This show reminds me of The One O Clock Gang, only this show is good.
I love the look of surprise on Rhonda's face during MJ's solo in the first track. She must've heard him a thousand times but he's obviously still pulling new moves that delight her.
That CD's a must. Great post Ken
Bob, you must not know if you're coming or going these days. I'm thinking best wishes for you and your family.
