Country and Eastern music.

Here is the last of my 4-album set. EST. Imagine yourself in a dodgy Chinese restaurant with pedal steel muzak in the background!!

That's very cool Gary!! Very original use of a banjo to get Eastern music lines. :D

Thanks Ken! And, yes, well spotted on my new Chinese banjo technique. It's mainly about absurdly exaggerated vibrato and bad taste. A perfect accompaniment to a variety of Asian dishes (especially the cheaper ones).

Some really nice stuff on there Gary. Haven't had a chance to give it all a good listen yet, what I have listened to sounds very good indeed. Like Ken I was wondering if you were using banjo, sometimes it has a very mandolin feel to it, or should that be mandarin? Have you got the banjo going through some effects?

Don't know where you get the time to produce so much material. Very experimental, Est-Way caught my attention, nice pedal steel work on it.

Thanks Geoff, so nice you're getting back into your stride. No, no effects, just extraordinarily amazing technique on the banjo.

OK, not all of that was true.

Hi Gary, just checking out your offerings on Bandcamp, good grief man, there's a lot of stuff on there.

Having a listen to a song on your Many Many instruments 2012-2019, Country Boy, excellent playing :guitar:

Thanks Geoff.

Yes, Albert Lee heard me playing it, stole it, sped it up x 4, and became famous. Typical!

OK, not all of that was true either.

...Also and BTW, the 'banjo' on Est-Way is actually a Yamaha synth. Maybe the root of some confusion.
