Found this via the USA steel forum. A young lady called Brandy Williams, and the track has the incomparable Mike Johnson in the steel seat. His solo begins at 2.10, and it starts out with a nod to Tom Brumley and then flies off into a typically beautiful soaring break from Mike. His tone and touch is brilliant, and the production is very impressive. Traditional country at its best, and well worth a listen all the way through.

Spot on Derek, the tone of the guitar is superb. Right up my street - clean and uncompressed. I will try to find out out who the player is. He compliments Mike's steel so well, and I reckon that Mike was the session leader. I will find that out too.

Well well - I have seen the guitar player concerned in person. He was in the support band backing Lloyd Green at a garden party in Jeff Surratt's back garden promoting Lloyd and Show Pro guitars. The guy's name is Rick Williams. He uses a Tele, and I've seen him on a number of YouTube clips. You can see him in this clip. He uses a Tele straight into a his amp. He was quite loud out front but he is a very good player who goes for it each time he plays.

If anyone would like the tab to that solo, please contact me by PM with your email address and I will get it off to you. I didn't do the TAB, a gentleman called Jeff Gardner did it and very well I might add. Now where did I put my Emmons Push-Pull?

Willie G - It's not too difficult to play, but it needs to be done with oodles of feel. Something that you do naturally.
