I heard this on the tv series "Dickensian" and found it to be an aria from the opera "Bohemian Girl" by M W Balfe in 1843, also known as "The Gypsy Girl's Dream." Couldn't find a track for it so it's the best I could do with BIAB.

A great find, Shakey. That is a lovely melody. You could say it's absolutely marbleous.
Thanks for posting.

Very nice Dave, and good to see the steel used in another genre. I' m presuming your playing E9, hope I'm right. Maybe it's just me and the way I play but I like the sound of the steel when I play in D, I find it responsive, the harmonics are better, and the sustain is better, I've listened to you playing this a few times now in case it's just my ears. but I'm sure the whole thing brightens up when you change key to D. Is it me? Donny

Thank you Gentlemen for your nice comments, good to know I haven't completely lost it in spite of the aches and pains. Donny I hadn't really noticed any real difference but you are right it does seem brighter and I think the reason is because the first part in C has a simpler piano backing and the second part in D has the orchestral part so I had to play a little louder, maybe that's it. My favourite key is F but it didn't sound right in F/G. Nothing really sounds right to me at the moment, I've gone to Windows 10 and my old trusty Audigy sound card won't work on 10 so I changed to an X-Fi Fatality and quite honestly I think it is crap compared to the Audigy, I can't afford any good stuff but soldier on I shall.

Hi Dave, Well I'm glad you noticed it as well, I don't know if it is purely just because your playing louder it just sounds better to my ears. I still hear the difference when I'm playing with cans on at a low volume and I enjoy that. Keep putting up the videos Dave, there great. Best Regards, Donny.
