Well I had to give it a go. Thanks to Basil for the chords although I changed the key To F. Gradually learning where the chords are on on the C6 pedal steel.

Here is a little bit of what I remember from Russ Wever's talk tape and some info on how to use the lever that lowers the 4th string on the C6th Mick your not sending me any backing tracks lately???

Thanks for that John. As I said It's a discovery journey and I suppose I could have slowed recordings down to see if I could hear what was going on in Buddy's version. I don't have the pleasure of tapes and tab - never have had. I just looked at the chord sheet and saw the first chord was an Fmaj7 so went hunting to see if I could find it and so on. Also I am on my own out here so no-one to glean from so the finished article is Mick Hearn and not Buddy Emmons. Trouble is everyone will be comparing the two - never mind. I will however have a look at what you have posted and see what I can learn from that.

Well at least you can play it Mick and improvise around it that puts you well in front of me, I am well impressed with your version and I wouldn't know an Fmaj7th from a hole in the wall
at least we are all learning ...
