Some of Dale's videos feature Ricky Davis, who was with him for quite a while.

Donny, Ricky was badly injured in motorcycle accident a few months ago, not sure of his current state of health.Had worked with Ricky a few times when we did support for Dale Watson, he then left band because he hated the traveling and was working with Miss Lesley his partner at time.I had arranged with him to let him use my guitar on a short tour they were doing in UK, but he cancelled off at last minute due a split in their relationship.Ricky is a really nice down to earth guy and I do hope he is recovering well from his injuries.

This is a great clip for observing right hand technique. Very helpful for us newbies. I also enjoyed the fast tremelo he uses now and then. Thanks for posting.

After seeing Dale Watson with Don Pawlak here in Vienna, i decided to buy a Pedal Steel! Don and me had a drink after their show and he encouraged me, to switch from lap to pedal-steel.
Don's playing is superb and he provided a firework of hot honky-tonky licks!
