Where is Malcolm McMaster?

Postby Ken Byng » Sat May 16, 2015 5:11 pm

I know that Malcolm has had problems with his internet provider, but am concerned that we haven't heard from him in a little while. I am missing my old sparring partner.

Malcolm was at the Albert Lee concert in Glasgow's Grand ole Opry on Thursday along with Mr Gamble and several other nefarious characters.I do believe He dipped His hand into His pocket a few times but it always came out empty. ;)
He has sent an e mail out with His new address and I saw Your name amongst the chosen ones Ken.
The Albert Lee gig was the best I have seen,He has a keyboard player, Donna Oxford who is absolutely tremendous,a real virtuoso on the keys and a great Showman/woman? too.The rest of the band were superb too. Definitely a must see,.

Billy
Malcolm's pockets are notoriously deep, and he has a hereditary problem of having extremely short arms.

He must have found a ticket that someone dropped for the Albert Lee concert. :o

Was Cindy Cashdollar on steel guitar?

Hi Gents,
I can report that Malcolm's new contacts are up and running. I managed to grab a brief chat with him and Mr Willie Gamble after the Albert Lee gig.

What a great gig Billy, sorry I never met you. The lady on keyboards was a force of nature! And Albert was on amazing form. First time I saw him was with Head, Hands and Feet at a free concert in Hyde Park!

I had gone, primarily, to catch Gerry Hogan(now that I'm obsessed with all things steel) and was quite surprised at the amount of the Robert Randolph style, distortion lead that he used. Still fantastic to see a great player up close and personal.

Ok you motley crew, have been off line for a few weeks because of those b*******at EE, when changing my broadband and phone line to Sky.Have sent out email and texts to those who might need new addresses, if I have missed anyone please pm me and I will get details to you, my mobile number remains same.
The Albert gig was great, as Danny said , was surprised at amount of distortion Gerry used, never heard him do that before, his playing was superb.Mr Bling, I was on guest list for show, so had plenty of cash to buy a round of drinks , a can of coke and three straws, that Gamble costs me a fortune in drink.
If I have missed anything important ( like Mr Bling opening the vault for yearly count of cash) my apologies, but as Arnie say's "I'm Back".

Danny, meant to add Zumbilly was the elderly bearded guy Gamble and I were talking to, easily recognised by large bulge in back pocket caused by very large wallet, you may have seen his Bentley parked outside. ;)

Also a great show at Kinross! A small venue and very tight sound between them, cracking bass man! and drummer! and of course apart from Albert being the guitar wizard he is ; Dona Oxford was a class act! Yes Gerry played a fair bit with extra drive on and also a sort of pedal-bro sound at one stage, the main reason for chipping in here is that I spoke to Gerry at length and he was well chuffed at the support from the Scottish Steel Fraternity so I thought I should convey it; our presence was much appreciated and of course well rewarded!

For those who don't know Dona Oxford.. this was one of her party pieces!!
