Is anyone available to help form a new country band? If interested please contact Chris Raggatt on the FaceBook page: "UK Country music where & when". Possibility of regular work.

I'm really surprised and disappointed that no-one from this area has shown any interest. You'd think, with all the bitching going on about lack of opportunities for steelies, that somebody would have jumped at the chance. I'll take this sort of thing with a pinch of salt from now on.

Hi Will,
This is not the first time this has happened is it? Apathy rules in some quarters, and usually those that condemn the lack of work.
Just to lighten the subject, if you feel like a laugh about me during the 60's and 70's have a look in the Café and see if the Dropbox link works.
By the way which is left?
Maurice

Will, if you can talk band into moving up to Scottish Central belt I'm sure there would be interest, problem is there aren't too many late night buses from Swindon/Oxford to Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Shame it's not my area, I'd give it a go and I'm sure there'd be some other takers too.

Mr Bling, don't tell us this is another job you have got?I now understand why you have so many guitars, you have one set up at each job, so you just have to jump on your moped --oops sorry Merc, and zoom between jobs.

Mr McMiser
Just because you are too tight to put fuel in your Roller, dont think everyone else is of a similar ilk. I am down to my last 7 steels, so I can be in 7 bands at once by your reckoning. I have had a 4x4 as my main car for the last 12 years or so. The sports car would just about carry my Roland Cube in the boot, so its no use at all for gigging. I'm off to a Merc dealer in the morning to get a new 4x4 which has quite a large boot to carry my gear. Spence is going to give me an interest free loan over 20 years to pay for it.
