The Rubettes (Pedal Steel Player?)

I remember hearing some nice steel on some of this band's later tracks back in the day - mostly written by guitarist tony Thorpe (great guitarist).

I believe the steel player was Rick West from the Tremeloes - can anyone confirm this?
Have a listen to Top of the World - best song they ever did and it has a massive steel feature.

Pete

yep. that is Rick West on pedal steel. Tony Thorpe played some clever steel licks on guitar back before his time with the Rubbettes. He would sit beside the drummer, didn't like standing up. Ricks playing is super on this track, thanks for posting it pete ==== Baz. :guitar: :guitar:

Shakey, the track to hear is about 4-40 in (Top of the world) much sweeter steel playing than the 1st track, ;) :guitar: :guitar: === Baz.
