Hi fellas, sorry about the videos, tried to put some backing tracks up for other steelies that I had done back in 74 by Froggies piano player at a price of £20 each but no longer needed by me.
It was pointed out that if I could not prove I had copyright, they could be a problem if put up on the site, and I respect that desision.
Last night I sat thinking about the steel fez 85 videos I uploaded onto U Tube, and realised the same could apply here, as I never asked any of the performers if I could upload them, so with regret, I have removed them, and they have gone back in the wardrobe again, sorry guy's and gal's, with technolagy come all sorts of problems.

For various reasons videos uploaded to YouTube are fine to post.

YouTube have agreements with various professional bodies / artists / recording companies re the payment of royalties etc., and also a procedure in place to allow copyright holders to report infringements.

They also have an automated system to remove copyrighted music automatically from videos, or warn the submitter if there may be a copyright infringement.

Slim, Thats so sad although I respect your views to take down the clips. A big thank you mate for attempting to bring a little interest to the forum, I for one certainly enjoyed what we got to see, some great UK pedal steel guitar heritage there.

Hi Dave, what I will try to do is that I have two DVD's available for watching on a DVD player, and if I can find a way to reproduce them, anyone will be welcome to a copy, but at this time I don't have the unit to reproduce stadard DVD's.
And I can't find a way to do it on a computer as the format wont play on my comp, but will persevere. Slim.

I would like to echo Daves' sentiment here. Band commitments always stopped me from getting to Jerry Hogans festivals and I've always felt the loss. I was sucking this stuff up 'till 5am most nights (insomniiii thingamy jig) The chance to see and hear players like, Gus York, Melvin Duffy, not forgetting your good self Slim. It's the unselfish attitude of people like Slim, JD, Dave H,etc,and the outspoken members of this forum that helps me and others new to pedal steel to get the info we need to progress on the instrument. I've never logged in and not learned something from all of you. thanks again Slim (loved the comedy too!) Baz.
