Hi Admin

You've recently added a security screen which periodically asks you to type in the words that appear on the screeen, unfortunately this needs cookies to be enabled. Most of my Forum browing is at work (linchtimes etc), unfortunately my company does not allow cookies on their intranet, which stops me getting on the forum at work. Is there anything I can do to get around this problem.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Shaun

Bleedin' hell Guv' !
you get a citation for admitting using the internet for your personal pleasure while at work
how many others wish to own up like Sean ?
no wonder companies don't enable cookies !
otherwise how will they obtain productivity from their employees ?
to get around the phenomena Sean, bring your laptop or i-pod on the job
please don't hold my rant against me, it's just too good to let it slip by
perhaps you should suggest that yer boss inaugurates a musik leisure room for the staff to enhance productivity
why you can then bring your psg on over & have some great jams !

Fortunately I do not have the same problem.
My boss allows Me unlimited access to the @net providing I have finished all the housework by mid morning.

Do you mean this one?

CAPTCHA Request

This system has been in place since August last year (see These scam infiltraitors). Even if you were to get past that challenge screen, to work correctly (i.e. keep you logged in etc.) the forum software requires cookies to be enabled as well, so you would still experience problems.

Unfortunately that first screen is an added security feature and also to stop forum spam (which it does very well), and cannot really be disabled without doing a u-turn on that decision. Actually, you should only really see it if the software has detected malicious behaviour from your IP address (and I'm not suggesting that's the case here, at least not intentionally) which suggests a compromised PC or network.

I'm afraid the only solution is to take a laptop / phone or something else to work and do your personal browsing on that :o
