**Ken Byng and Bob Adams on a night out together**

I recently met up with steel guitar player/tech and all round good guy Bob Adams for a very enjoyable evening out with him and his good lady Olly. Just a mention to those of you who may be short of nylon tuning nuts for your guitar. Bob makes them, and they are top, top quality. There is not a lot that Bob doesn't know about steel guitar mechanicals.

I should say regarding the top of this post, Ken is not in good health at the minute and has been really quite poorly, so when he suggested we could meet half way on a recent visit to complete some business I was very grateful as it is a long way from Scotland to the South Coast. The midlands worked well however I know it was a massive effort for him, I did appreciated it Mr 'B'
Steel players generally make a big effort for each other and this was no exception. Just saying! BA

Thanks for the update on Ken Bob, I was a little concerned about his absence from the forum over recent times and guessed he was not doing too well. Good to see him smiling at least.

If you look carefully, you will see Bob's hand behind my back, pulling my string. Another friend who wanted to meet up for a chat. When we first sat down at the table, Lloyd said "Whose the guy everyone is talking about - I believe his name is Bob Adams? What record label is he on"?. I said "He's on the greasy hands label Lloyd!"
