Many players lengthen the back legs of their guitar.
I often wondered if this was just a personal thing perhaps like a regular guitarist playing with his instrument up at His chest or down at His knees.
I recently read that Paul Franklin has His guitar tilted which He says will lessen the strain on the wrists and reduce the chance of carpel tunnel .He quotes Chalker as tilting His guitar this way,
I tried extending the rear legs by half an inch and it was quite drastic,I then tried one quarter of an inch and is is surprisingly noticeable.I will keep it that way for a while and see if is makes any difference to the playability although I have not ,at any time suffered from any discomfort in My wrists.
I would be interesting to hear how many of our members are "on the level" or not

I like my guitar to be as level as possible Billy. I remember seeing Billy Phelps in
Dallas, his guitar was like a ski slope.

Ever seen a cyclist in Amsterdam, they are bolt upright and progress with their nose in the air!
Can I play the steel that way? nope never have!
Always have been tilted forward, more natural when leaning over the guitar!

Am I the only one to have put wedges under the front legs of my steel?

I tilt mine forward but have tilted it backwards in the past due to it being very tall.

I'm certainly on the level
