Be nice for the UK guys to do this type of thing too.

Jay Dee Maness, Mike Daly, John Macy, Pete Finney, Paul Carestia, Randy Beavers, Mike Smith, Russ Pahl, Steve Hinson, Ed Ringwald, Dan Dugmore, Buck Reid, Travis Toy, Bruce Bouton and Lloyd Green all recorded their parts separately without hearing any of the other's offerings. Surprising how similar a lot of their tones are. Most of us have access to recording equipment and backing tracks, and I reckon we could turn out a nice end product like these guys did.

Heard this the other day, it's amazing!

I agree, a lot of us guys have facilities to overdub. I'd definitely be up for doing a part of a verse on something.

Geoff Noble and I talked about a similar project some time back. It would need a consensus by those involved to choose a tune, and everyone use the same backing track and play 8 bars or so depending how many of us would be interested. We could get someone with a good ear, like Danny Mitchell for instance, to mix it all down.

I'm easy as long as the song isn't going to be something I need a triple espresso for  .

Agree, having someone like Danny on board would be brilliant. It would be so important to get a result similar to this. We would need some real backing musicians too rather than midi. I'm sure we have some further talent here on other instruments. Isn't Danny a top muso himself as well as producer? We have a lot of steel talent in this country that we don't give ourselves credit for. Would be nice for us all to give it a proper bash and show what we're made of.

Just seeing this gents. I'll certainly be up for anything I can do to help.
I'm off to listen to what the A-team from 'over there' have done.

That was Beautiful Ken..

No recording access etc otherwise would have been worth a go

Merry Christmas to everyone.. The Vaccine is with us now so lets hope 2021 is a good one and we all get back to Live gigs and music events.

Best Wishes

All you need is a computer program (I use Mixcraft which is easy) and a DI box.
I recommend the Presonus iOne. Does a great job into the PC and won't break the bank.

Two definites and one maybe. Any more for any more? Suggestions for a tune? I've got loads and loads of backing tracks. My suggestion is Miss You Nights by Riff Pilchard.
