60 on the bottom E, a tone so thick and wide
everything was brilliant, till an echo hit the Clyde
with a sound that fairly travelled, as I’ll mention in my tales
how a Steelie filled the river, with a pod of three big whales

Some have tried to herd them back, into the open sea
but while whales are chasing Haddock’s sound, escape is not to be
they’re swimming round in circles, like the loop for his guitar
and then moving up and down the Clyde not going very far

N A T O are on exercise and want to float their boat
including use of submarines, the ones that seldom float
but alas their plans are scuppered, until they clear the whales
and another fishy story, Calum’s added to his tales

There really is no answer to the sound from pedal steel
it’s an understated weapon, with a sound that does appeal
sending supersonic signals to the whales deep in the Clyde

Fyne words Robert and a point well made. If 6 boats full of experts cant shift the whales, I’m sure my playing can!

T'is your playing that might shift them, t’was your calling from the Clyde ,
the sonic tunes you played them, made them linger by your side
the sound of mellow fruitfulness, when played on bottom E
enticed them up from deep parts, of the North Atlantic sea

The Navy might be onto you, when just beside their base
a drones been sent to help you get,that big smile off your face
but you have a secret weapon, fitted to the pedal steel
the invisible new lever, one that only you can feel
a Fyne job you’ve made of it, so put it to the test
Vladimir thinks you’re brilliant comrade, red flags in the West !
