...should we change it to “bar guitar”...? I’m not being serious and I’m sure this has been pointed out many times. I suppose it is a little frustrating that the terminology got so confused.

Just today’s idle thoughts. I hope everyone here is coping well with the weird wide world, sorry I haven’t checked in for a while. As you can tell, nothing constructive to say...!

What ever you call it, people still say...eh whats-that? Mention Hawaiian Guitar and you get strange looks. I still like Steel Guitar but get lost when no-one understands. Try saying 'I play A Lap Steel' you get even a glazed look comes almost before you have finished and woe betide if you say I play console steel, or I play lap steel on a stand!!!!! If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Being but an older gentleman, I like the connotations that come with 'Steel', you know, 'Man of Steel', 'Hard As Steel' type of thing.

And out of all the bars featured in the ad, Jonathan, I think Sir Henry Moore's, Improvatone, would be a Turner Prize contender.
