Fantastic performance by Mike Johnson and 45 RPM

Postby Ken Byng » Sat Jun 20, 2020 9:21 am

The Station Inn has released a live video of the great traditional country music band 45 RPM - featuring the incomparable Mike Johnson. Very watchable and listenable. For those people out there who play in a country band, this is how it's done. Please stick with the clip as it takes a few minutes to get to the band's performance.
Enjoy!

Ken it was worth the wait. I've downloaded it because here in the mid south west of France we're running just a tad quicker that dial-up. Really enjoyable...I can now put it through the amp and let the whole village hear what real music sounds like, especially the PSG. Thanks for posting.  :guitar: :guitar:

Great post Ken :guitar: :guitar: :guitar: thank you :D

So good to know Mike Johnson's through his health scare, it's one of those things you don't like to ask about.

He got the all clear a couple of years ago Danny. He text me when he got the news, and was obviously very relieved. Although he doesn't look anywhere near it, Mike is in his 60's. He's certainly playing as well as ever, as that clip was done only a week or two ago. :o

That's good news, Ken. He seems a real gent, too. I saw the clip of him playing Night Life at a tribute to Buddy Emmons, while Mr Emmons was sitting a few feet from him  , and he was so modest and unassuming. A real class act.
