The Country Side of Harmonica Sam.

Not sure if anyone has posted about these fellows yet but they have to be my favourite country/honky tonk band around at the moment.

The steel playing is fantastic and the band have that real authentic Bakersfield sound. Peter Andersson is the player. It’s like listening to an old Buck Owens record.

What a tonic!
Just got home feeling a bit down in the dumps, I’m now ready to set about tonight’s twang, but now with added gusto!
Great playing from all the chaps, especially the young Vic Reeves on guitar.
This kind of music first got me into steel guitar, really great to see it’s still going strong.
It really does inspire.."?..
Don’t they all look smart, i would love to join them in a drink after midnight, but I don’t think the old bladder could take it.

Brilliant! That's my kind of country!

Just thought I'd add a quick note to this post - we had a gig over in Holland last weekend and were on before "The Country Side of Harmonica Sam", and wow! Just wow!!! The guys play just like the records, and it really is like going back in time and watching Buck Owens. Peter Andersson played a beautiful red Sho-Bud Pro, the older type with slightly wider pedals than my Pro 3, and was absolutely blinding on both necks! If you get the chance to see these guys I highly recommend it
