Just back from visiting Mr Johnston at Crosshouse Hospital with "The Gamble", Donny is in good spirits, getting another scan tomorrow, not sure how long he is going to be in, hopefully they will have not to do anything invasive.Donny sends his thanks to everyone for all their good wishes.

Here I am once again back home and feeling humbled at the amount of you guys rooting for me, it certainly brings you down to earth. When I got to my GP ( Thursday evening ) I couldn't breathe very well and my heart rate was 180 bpm. The original theory was a blood clot in my lung, modern scanning quickly ruled that out then a 2nd scan disclosed the water as Bob has described. I thank the local chemist and my own GP for the professional and speedy intervention. I had only popped in to pick up a prescription for Barbara. A 3rd scan on Monday morning gave the all clear, then it's wait until the doctor comes around, ( THESE DOCTORS ARE GETTING YOUNGER ) I was told I could go home, then after lunch I got a dose of the and they wouldn't let me go. they told me if I could go through the rest of the day, have dinner, then wait an hour without exploding I could go home. Buttocks have never been more firmly clenched. I give thanks for our NHS who were nothing short of amazing. Cheers lads. I will keep you updated with my progress. Donny.
